Totally blown away- thank you

Updated: Mar 4

In August last year I met Al Hughes from Hype Podcast Studios in Widnes at a YAB event and just prior to Christmas I had a meeting with him at his fantastic podcast recording studios, and so the idea of Safety is My Middle Name was born.

The name comes from the business name KSH Safety Services - everyone knows my name but I have been asked what the S stands for - I have always answered Safety. The name was born.

I decided to do a podcast on health and safety because, no disrespect to them, but other health and safety podcasts I have watched and listened to have knocked me to sleep let alone someone else. I have never come across a podcast on safety and health that is interesting and not stuffy.

In mid January I recorded my first podcast with Amy Gault from Splat Training and left Al to do his magic. Several weeks later and the final product was published on You Tube and a few days later on Spotify.

Little did I know that within the first week on both YouTube and Spotify, just over 1000 people watched and listened to the podcast. The feedback and comments were overwhelmingly positive, backed up with a catchy theme tune that clients have sang to me as I visited their factory. To get people singing my brand - oh wow!

Yesterday I was actually asked for my autograph!

I have now recorded four episodes in the first series of six and two of them are now live on YouTube and Spotify.

I can today exclusively reveal that there will be a second series after that.

Thank you to Al for creating his magic in editing, production and direction. Also for creating the Safety is His Middle Name theme tune.

Thank you to my incredible guests - Amy, Danny Conlon from FTW Training, Jan Webb from Cornerstone Occupational Health, Marcus Farray from Bridge Harmony Mediation, Melissa Fazackerley from Dimension H&S and The Safety Social, and to Chris Holme from Acorn Environment Services.

And most of all thank you to you, those who have watched, listened, supported, shared and commented. You’re all stars!

If you haven’t seen or heard it, watch it now. Links and some snippets are shown below. More details can be found at www.kshsafety.com/podcast
