Organising a Coronation Event Safely

Are you organising a community event for the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla this May?
If so, make sure you do it safely.
Plan the event properly and well in advance. There is guidance on the HSE website on planning events at www.HSE.gov.uk/event-safety/getting-started.htm
Gain relevant location permissions from land owners or local authority. You need local authority permission to close roads for a street party.
Risk assess the event (this non exhaustive list could include fire safety, location hazards, safeguarding, the planned activities, temporary structures such as stages, those nearby, noise, erecting bunting, extreme weather, food safety, alcohol, litter and waste, traffic)
Check local alcohol licence requirements
Follow food safety and hygiene rules (get trained with our Level 2 Food Safety in Catering course at www.kshsafetyonline.com and use code 10KSHOFFER at checkout for 10% off). Remember allergens and dietary requirements of individuals.
Make the event inclusive for all.
Make sure you are insured for your event.
Enjoy the weekend.
