The first ever match I went to at Anfield, aged just five years old, was 40 years ago today. Liverpool beat Dinamo Tbilisi 2-1 that night, but lost the return leg and were knocked out of the European Cup, having won the competition the previous two seasons. It was the start of a love affair with the club - and the city - that continues to this day.
The city of Liverpool has been a huge part of my life. One of my first jobs after graduating was with Liverpool City Council, my family research shows that my ancestors have lived in the city for at least 300 years, probably longer. I want to grow my business further in this amazing city and the surrounding area.
